Inter.link is B Corp Certified

inter.link – LinkedIn-Feed

One of the founding pillars of Inter.link was a focus on sustainability and the environment. There was a real need for a company to not only talk about sustainability but to embrace it and design a network solution around it.

Since our founding, we've worked on ways to incorporate sustainability in everything that we do and throughout our entire supply chain. We're happy to announce that Inter.link is B Corp Certified company. Why did we decide to join this "movement"? And what does B Corp certification mean for a company in the network industry?

"The certification as a B Corporation marks a significant milestone for Inter.link. Since the founding of Inter.link, we’ve focused on achieving B Corp certification because it aligns with our business philosophy, our corporate mission and our long-term vision. We’re happy to be leading by example and contributing to a more sustainable and equitable future.”

Co-Founder and CEO, Inter.link

What is B Corp certification?

Simply put, certified B Corps are companies who are committed to prioritising the environment and society in the way they do business.

B Corps have been independently assessed to ensure they meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. The certification process is rigorous, and considers the impacts of a company’s decisions on society and the environment. The core is to grow a business in a way that also incorporates social and environmental performance.

Certified B Corporations® are for-profit companies that use the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. As a B Corp in the network industry, we're counted among businesses that are leading a global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.

There are five areas of impact across which Inter.link was measured:  governance, workers, community, the environment, and customers. See how we measured up in each category.

B-Corp-impact-areas

  • Governance - Looks a company's overall mission, engagement around its social/environmental impact, ethics, and transparency.
  • Workers - Evaluates a company’s contributions to its employees’ financial security, health & safety, wellness, career development, and engagement & satisfaction.
  • Community - Dives into a company’s engagement with and impact on the communities in which it operates, hires from, and sources from.
  • Environment - Reviews a company’s overall environmental management practices as well as its impact on the air, climate, water, land, and biodiversity.
  • Customers - Focuses on a company’s stewardship of its customers through the quality of its products and services, ethical marketing, data privacy and security, and feedback channels.

What's Different About B Corp Certification?

It's more than another sustainability certification. As well as legally binding commitments to the environment and society, B Corp certified companies are continually re-assessed and are required to pass the re-certification process every 3 years. This ensures that B Corps are always held to account – continually monitoring their impact and trying to improve the way they do business, for the benefit of people and planet. B Labs has additional resources on how to measure B Corp certification.

This means that Inter.link will continue to actively look for ways that we can improve ourselves and to remain at the forefront of pushing these important issues in the network community. We hope that you'll join us in celebrating this step and to creating a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact.
