Network as a Service (NaaS) is all about moving the network industry forward to make services more accessible, efficient, and versatile (which is explained in more detail in our previous article).
As a NaaS provider focused on innovation and transparency, Inter.link constantly strives to lower the barriers for interconnection. This is why as a Christmas gift, we are introducing FlexSuite, one free port for any network that wishes to use it.
How does Inter.link already lower the barriers for interconnection?
- Our open approach to peering with a focus on smaller and regional networks
- The transparency of our network, services, and pricing through the Inter.link portal and our Looking Glass
- Offering a free trial of our IP Transit service so that companies can test our network
- Most comprehensive list of BGP communities within the industry
How does FlexSuite work?
Entering a multi-year contract for an unfamiliar IP service is challenging for smaller networks and they can often struggle with obtaining high-quality access to the Internet. The first hurdle to quality connectivity is securing a port at a reasonable price without waiting an extended period.
This is where FlexSuite can help.
FlexSuite offers one port free of charge to all newcomers to the Inter.link network. This is one free-to-use first port per company with a capacity of 1, 10, or 25 Gbps.
FlexSuite also introduces a free tier of our IP Transit service which uses a Pay As You Go pricing model with no minimum commitment meaning. This means you only pay for what you use.
How does FlexSuite help smaller networks?
This port is a gift from Inter.link to all companies who are interested in taking advantage of it, but it creates a benefit for smaller networks in particular. A small network could get a cross connect in place, get their first free port, and can extend their capacity by ordering our no-commitment IP Transit service.
FlexSuite benefits smaller networks by helping them to secure a port, overcoming that first major hurdle to obtaining quality connectivity on a reliable carrier-grade network.
The fixed-price Pay-as-you-go option is just the start, Inter.link will launch multiple new features and commercial options to enrich your free port throughout 2025.
Does FlexSuite involve any long-term commitment?
FlexSuite does not involve any long-term commitment, and IP Transit is charged on a pay-as-you-go basis, allowing for flexibility.
In addition, due to Inter.link ports being designed for multiple services, it is quick and easy to add other services to the same port such as Flex Ethernet or DDoS Protection.
When using the port to send traffic, it will be billed at a usage percentile of 95/5 and at a price which is only slightly above what Inter.link charges for a yearly commitment.
Only one free port is allowed per company, a fair use policy applies, and there are a limited number of FlexSuite ports available per PoP.
