About the role

We’re seeking a Senior Software Network Engineer who is passionate about building and operating global networks. Join us as we build and deploy Inter.link’s worldwide backbone, develop new products and release new features that help our customers. You’ll work together with other members of the infrastructure team to ensure quality service for Inter.link’s customers.

Your Profile

Operations and Architectural Expertise

In your role, you will be responsible for ensuring network services are implemented, delivered on time, operated, and supported.
  • You will help to incorporate customer requirements into our product development and overall strategy
  • Continuously work towards improving our network and software stack
  • Daily tasks will include problem and incident management to ensure that automation workflow is running
  • Managing automated operations, implementing proactive monitoring and maintenance procedures to guarantee uninterrupted service
  • Proven ability to develop robust and scalable backend applications in Go or Python, including crafting well-structured APIs and seamlessly integrating with other systems

Professional Experience

  • Experience operating global internet service provider networks. You have a proven track record in network engineering roles, demonstrating expertise in the field.
  • An understanding of network architecture, routing, and switching.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiar with network automation using Ansible and facilitating several APIs
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash to automate network tasks and workflows. Understanding of version control systems, such as Git, for managing configurations and code.
  • Experience in network data and documentation handling using NetBox.
  • Knowledge in modern DevOps and SRE practices.
  • Experience with Arista hardware is a plus.
  • Experience in Django is a big plus
